Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School was founded in 2002. The school’s mission is to prepare students for employment in any of the high technical industries of the 21st Century by providing a core foundation in academics and career preparation. The school strives to prepare each student for their post secondary plans by establishing an individual pathway of success
for each student based upon their unique strengths and personal career aspirations. Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, Philadelphia E&T has students enrolled from over thirty zip codes throughout Philadelphia. Our central location allows for a wide range of diversity, enriching our students’ experiences through community partnerships. We offer a safe and supportive learning climate with an award winning out-of-school time program. Over 65% of our student population is economically disadvantaged. Career training and test preparation are cornerstones of our successes. Graduates of Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School will have participated in a work study program that affords them the opportunity to have earned significant workplace experience, advanced of their peers.
